Description

The Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal is a luxury four-star hotel overlooking the San Marco basin and facing the Basilica of the Madonna della Salute at the beginning of the Grand Canal in Venice (Italy).
The works carried out by the group of companies, to which SACAIM was a member, involved the restoration as well as the expansion of the structure with the unification of the former Teatro del Ridotto.

The project involved the renovation of a 17th century palace: the presence of valuable plasterwork, frescoes and mirrors entailed incorporating a wide range of architectural values. The internal courtyard has been covered by glass to resemble a transparent cloud, suspended between history and technology, in order to bring out the historical beauty of the Palazzo.
